Terms and Conditions for Paretto

Welcome to Paretto, a Learning Management System (LMS) designed for students and teams preparing for academic competitions. By accessing or using our platform, website, or mobile application (collectively, “Paretto”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, joining a team, or using any part of the Paretto platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Paretto. If you are under the age of 18, you must have permission from a parent, legal guardian, or educational institution.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials

• Ensuring all information you provide is accurate and up to date

• Any activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violating these terms or engaging in misuse.

4. Use of the Platform

Paretto is intended solely for educational and academic collaboration purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful or malicious activity

• Upload harmful or offensive content

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

• Attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with our software or servers

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform—including text, software, logos, graphics, and course materials—is the property of Paretto or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

You retain ownership of content you create (notes, assignments, messages) but grant us a license to use it for providing and improving the service.

6. Educational Data and Privacy

By using Paretto, you acknowledge that student-related data may be shared with authorized coaches, educators, or administrators. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

7. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Paretto if:

• You violate these Terms

• We are required to do so by law

• We discontinue the platform (with reasonable notice)

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@paret.to.

8. Disclaimers

Paretto is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free performance, or suitability for any particular purpose. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paretto and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the platform.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. We’ll notify users of material changes via email or in-app notices. Continued use of Paretto after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
